The International Urology, Fertility, and Gynaecology Centre was established in 2007 by Dr Michael Wong, marking a new beginning after his 22 years of distinguished service in the public healthcare sector at SGH. This centre reflects Dr Wong's extensive fellowship training and professional experience in the United States, along with his decades of active participation in research and academia both in Singapore and internationally.

Our Logo

The Urology, Fertility and Gynaecology logo is a modern reinterpretation of the words UROLOGY and FERTILITY. The founders have used the symbol of the river to represent the fortuitous flow within the urinary system like The extra stroke in the ripple results in , which represents the word “king” in Mandarin. This indicates expertise in urology and also the international standing of the centre. is also the family name of our founding urologist, Dr Michael Wong.

Fertility has been represented by the symbol of an egg and a sperm going together to bring about new life. Life is also represented by the river of life within the egg . The colour red is a symbol of both passion and love for what we stand for in the area of patient care.

Dr Michael Wong is a senior consultant urologist and medical director of the International Urology, Fertility and Gynaecology Centre in Singapore. He completed advanced fellowship training in the United States in Endourology, Female Urology and minimally invasive urological surgery.

His clinical interests include urinary stones, prostate conditions, male fertility, urological cancers, female urinary dysfunction and urinary tract infections. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Wong has held leadership appointments within international urological organisations and continues to contribute to professional education, research and regional collaboration in urology.
